Great comfort food in retro surroundings with Monster Truck memorabilia.

Very cute cafe/diner idea but the menu is same 'ol stuff. Food itself is good but not great. Was not worth the 40 minute wait. And it looked as though the couple of people that were there before us already had food so why was the wait so long?

Ahhhhhhhhh if you have ever read a Jack Reacher novel. This is what I would picture him swinging by. Great food don't pass this one up.

Food was good. Kinda slow but it was worth th wait. It's a nice lil cafe.. Cool stuff around it. Kids loved it.

I expected to pay quite a bit here for lunch, but was very happily surprised to find the food prices VERY reasonable especially for a tourist destination on a major highway.I had six of my children with me, and they all loved the chicken nuggets. I tried one and enjoyed it myself. The portion for the kids meal were very nice and even my teenagers had some food to bring with us.I had a burger which was also quite good.The staff was very friendly, patient, and kind.Of course the Grave Digger design was originally the main draw for us, but I was incredibly happy to see that the quality didn't lack either. They obviously care very much for creating their own reputation and aren't just relying on the draw from the monster trucks.We will happily go back again on our next trip to the OBX!

Came for Easter bunny and egg hunt. Less parents helping to find eggs would be recommended.Other than that......very well organized and lots of fun. My 3 year old grandson had a Great time. Thank you for all that was planned. You drew a great crowd!!!

Tiny menu selection but I was expecting that from previous reviews. What I did NOT expect was that we sat in front of the grill and waited 45 mins for them to START making our food. I wanted to leave but my friends were committed after waiting so long. During our wait I also got to witness the lady running the grill put an omelette on a plate, let it sit, find out it was the wrong item for the order, put it back on the grill and serve it to someone else.

Food was wonderful, very friendly staff. Needs more seating for larger groups but they were accommodating! More to do than just eat ... petting zoo, shop and rides in the Grave Digger!

I didn't have high expectations but this was pretty decent diner food and the service was great. We had lunch but the breakfast items seemed to be the locals favorite and looked tasty.

So, so, not what I expected, not that great.

This is my favorite breakfast stop on my way to work. The staff is friendly and professional. Michelle is friendly with a funny wit and Brian always remembers my usual, it is delicious and filling. It's definitely worth a stop to or from the Outer Banks.

They have great food and great service. Hospitality was nice too. Then when your done enjoying your food you can enjoy the petting farm among other things. Great place to visit..

It's a neat place with the monster truck stuff to look at but not impressed with the food. Went for breakfast and my eggs were good but the potatoes were terrible and somehow my bacon was over done on one side & under done on the other?!? And my daughter had french toast that wasn't completely cooked in the center. Also the seating is very limited and the counter was so close to our table that people walking in between had to turn sideways.

It's become a home away from home for us. The girls know my kids names and sometimes we even catch Dennis behind the counter. Come one Come all to Diggers Diner for breakfast and lunch!

Second time eating here on vacation, this establishment is spotless inside, the crew are extremely friendly and the food was delicious.Would recommend anyone in the area to try.

The Food was really good. You got a lot of food for what you paid. Nicely decorated and fun experience.

Walked in when they were about to close and didn't realize but they still served us and treated us like it wasn't about to close

This place is a good place to bring kids for a fun time or a good meal.

We stopped for breakfast, some may complain about the small menu but we thought the simpleness was perfect. It was bike week when we stopped and they had vendors set up for that. Inside the diner was small and there were only bar seats available, but they have a screened in porch outside that we sat in since we needed a table for our youngest child. Our waitress was friendly and came right out to take our order. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our meals to arrive and every thing was delicious. The only "complaint" I would have would be the limited availability for seating inside the diner. However given that we stopped during bike week, we can't really complain about that. I would definitely go back!

Family place! Great food!

Menu was limited to three or four items for breakfast. "Omlette" made with deli ham and slice of American cheese folded int cooked eggs. Potatoes were good. Forgot my toast. Great show watching cook never change his gloves even after handling raw beef and eggs.

The environment was great. The diner had amazing food,and the trucks were really awesome to see

Pure Americana shrine! Food is normal diner fare but the whole monster truck scene makes is a great stop for anyone who appreciates this kind of quirky roadside attraction.

Take your kids with you if they'd like to see some animals, monster trucks, and later have something to munch on. Wholesome family fun for passers by.
